Alien species

Alien species refers to the concept of distinct biological species among non-human intelligent beings (non-human intelligent beings) — the classification of extraterrestrial, interdimensional, and cryptoterrestrial entities into taxonomic groupings based on physiology, home system, consciousness type, and political affiliation. The term "species" in this context is applied loosely: some groupings denote genetically distinct organisms with independent evolutionary histories (e.g. the Draco reptilians, the Ahel), while others designate engineered organisms manufactured for specific purposes (e.g. Grey drone variants).

Scope of the term

Contactee and exopolitics literature applies species-level distinctions to beings across a wide morphological range — from fully reptilian and insectoid body plans to beings indistinguishable from Homo sapiens. Elena Danaan's A Gift from the Stars catalogues over 100 such species active in Earth's vicinity, organized by home star system. The Super Federation framework describes 22 distinct extraterrestrial species programs operating simultaneously on human populations, each with independent genetic objectives.

The complexity of non-human intelligent being taxonomy is compounded by hybridization programs, cloning, and engineered sub-types — making strict Linnaean classification difficult to apply. Some researchers prefer the umbrella term "non-human intelligent beings" precisely to avoid the implication that conventional biological species concepts map neatly onto these entities.

Major species groups

Humanoid species

The largest and most frequently encountered category of alien species in contactee literature is the humanoid — beings sharing the basic Homo sapiens body plan to varying degrees, typically attributed to a common genetic ancestry in the Lyran civilization of the ancient past.

The Ahel (also Taygetan Pleiadians) are a tall, fair-skinned, predominantly blond humanoid species originating from the Taygeta system in the Pleiades. They are members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds and among the most active benevolent contact species in Earth's vicinity in the contemporary period. The Ahel communicate telepathically, possess lifespans measured in thousands of years, and operate advanced craft including scout ships and motherships.

The Errahel are a Pleiadian humanoid subspecies physically similar to the Ahel but with cultural and organizational distinctions. The Kahel and Gerahel are related Pleiadian lineages.

The Noor are described as very tall (up to 3.5 metres), fair-haired humanoids originating from the Orion constellation region, associated with the Galactic Federation and described as one of the oldest spacefaring humanoid civilizations.

The Zenae (Andromedans) are a highly advanced humanoid species from the Andromeda system, described as blue-tinted in appearance and operating at a high density level. The Andromedan Council is a significant galactic governance body associated with the Zenae.

The Ohorai are a humanoid species from the Altair system, members of the Galactic Federation, described as having a distinctive energy signature associated with healing and high spiritual development.

The Urmah are feline-humanoid beings originating in the Lyran star systems — large-bodied, leonine in facial structure, and among the most powerful warrior species within the GFW alliance. The Urmah are associated with the ancient Lyran Wars and with the seeding of humanity's feline genetic heritage.

The Nordic aliens or Nordic extraterrestrials is a broad category applied to any human-appearing ET with the Nordic phenotype (tall, blond, blue-eyed). It encompasses multiple distinct species: the Ahel, the Errahel, the Aryans (not to be confused with the human racial category), and others. Nordics have been reported in contact cases from the 1950s onward and are associated with both benevolent (GFW-aligned) and occasionally negative (Dark Fleet-affiliated) factions.

Grey species

The Greys — short, large-headed, large-eyed beings with grey skin — constitute a species complex rather than a single species. Multiple distinct Grey variants are described in the literature, differing in origin, function, and degree of autonomy.

The Solipsi Rai (also called Zeta Greys or Zeta Reticuli Greys) are described as originating from the Zeta Reticuli system. They are associated with the majority of the classical abduction accounts in the United States — the small, emotionless, large-headed beings conducting medical examinations and genetic harvesting. The Solipsi Rai are categorized according to Elena Danaan as operating under agreements with, or under the control of, Maytrei or other dominant Grey factions.

The Eban (Zeta Reticuli) are a distinct Grey variant described as taller, with a more pronounced hierarchical social structure and a longer relationship with the U.S. government under the 1954 treaties.

The Graysli and Eben designations reflect different sub-classifications within the Grey complex. The term "Eben" became prominent through the alleged Project Serpo exchange programme, in which twelve U.S. military personnel were claimed to have visited the Eben home world in the Zeta Reticuli system.

The Maitre (also Maytrei) are tall Greys — up to 3 metres — described as predatory, hostile, and among the most dangerous species in Earth's vicinity. They are associated with non-consensual abductions, aggressive territorial behaviour, and conflict with the Galactic Federation.

Reptilian species

The Draco reptilians (also Draco-Reptilians or Draconians) are the dominant Reptilian species in exopolitics literature — large, scaled, winged beings with a rigid hierarchical social structure and a history of territorial expansion through conquest. The Alpha Draconian Empire has been described as the primary adversarial extraterrestrial power in Earth's solar system, responsible for establishing the Dark Fleet alliance with post-WWII German breakaway factions and for the predatory biological-access provisions of the 1954 treaties. See Draco reptilians for the species article and Alpha Draconian Empire for the political entity.

The Draco Reptilians article covers the broader category of reptilian beings including sub-castes: soldier caste (smaller, less intelligent), warrior caste (mid-range, aggressive), and the royal winged caste (largest, most powerful, described as the ruling aristocracy of the Empire).

Insectoid species

The Mantis beings (also Mantids or Insectoids) are praying-mantis-shaped beings — tall, elongated, with triangular heads and large compound eyes — described as highly intelligent, often encountered in a supervisory or medical role during abduction events. They are consistently reported as being above Greys in the alien hierarchy during abduction procedures, directing operations rather than performing them.

The Kiily-Tokurt (also Killy-Tokurit) are a distinct insectoid species described in Danaan's taxonomy, associated with more neutral or predatory orientations than the Mantis beings.

Other significant species

The Anunnaki are a highly advanced humanoid species described as having played a formative role in human genetic development in deep prehistory — the beings identified with the Sumerian gods Enlil, Enki, and their associates. Their relationship to current ET activities on Earth is debated: some accounts describe Enki-aligned Anunnaki as positive contributors to human liberation, while Enlil-aligned factions are associated with control and suppression.

The Blue Avians are avian-featured beings described by Corey Goode as members of the Sphere Being Alliance — one of five ultra-high-density beings who arrived in the solar system in large spheres to block the exit of negative ET factions and to assist Earth's transition. They communicated with Goode through a 6th-density representative named Raw-Tear-Eir.

The Egaroth are described according to Elena Danaan as ancient, very advanced humanoid beings associated with the Seeders — the original genetic engineers of life in this galaxy — originating from a distant galaxy.

The Tall Whites described by Charles Hall are a distinct humanoid species resident near Nellis Air Force Base in the 1960s, physically human-appearing but with chalky white skin, large eyes, and a lifespan extending to hundreds of years. They maintained a collaborative but transactional relationship with the U.S. Air Force.

The Ummit are described as a humanoid species from the Wolf 424 system, known for leaving written communications in Spanish (the Ummo letters) and for technical precision in their contactee interactions.

The Sirians encompass multiple species from the Sirius star system — both humanoid (similar to Ahel phenotype) and feline (Urmah-related) — with a long history of involvement in Earth's ancient civilisations, particularly Egyptian culture, in which Sirian beings were associated with the gods Isis, Osiris, and Anubis.

The Arcturians are described as originating from the Arcturus system, operating at a very high density level, and specializing in healing, consciousness guidance, and dimensional transit technology. They are rarely described as physically present on Earth but are associated with out-of-body contact and near-death experiences.

The Ginvo and Emerther are described as two of the very few alien species to have established positive but limited contact with human governments — specifically providing brief warnings about technological trajectories — while maintaining strict non-interference protocols.

Classification systems

Encyclopedia Galactica

Main article:

Encyclopedia Galactica

The Encyclopedia Galactica (EG), as described by Elena Danaan, is the comprehensive galactic database maintained by the Galactic Federation of Worlds cataloguing all known species, their biology, culture, history, and current status. Danaan's A Gift from the Stars is described as a partial Earth-accessible version of EG data.

KGB Alien Races Book

The Alien Races Book — allegedly a translation of a KGB document known as "Книга рас" (Kniga Ras, "Book of Races") — catalogues 58 extraterrestrial species said to have been documented through Soviet intelligence contacts and UFO crash retrievals. Originally compiled by Dante Santori and Petro Krasheninnikov, the document includes entries on the Maitre (from Megopei/Andromeda), the Solipsi Rai (from Cygnus), the Indugutk (Tall Whites), and many others.

Morphological categories

The four broad morphological categories researchers and contactees use to group species — humanoid, reptilian, insectoid and energy or light beings, with hybridized forms across all of them — are set out under classification by morphology.

Scale of known species

Elena Danaan reports that the Galactic Federation of Worlds recognizes approximately 2,500 distinct species across five universes, operating under the principle "five universes, 2500 species, one race." Her 2020 book A Gift from the Stars catalogues 110 of these, selected for their significance in Earth's vicinity; her 2024 Encyclopedia Galactica Volume I expands coverage to over 150 spacefaring civilizations. Danaan describes this as still a partial and Earth-accessible slice of the full Encyclopedia Galactica database maintained by the Galactic Federation.

Hive consciousness species

The hive-consciousness collective is a distinct and frequently misclassified category, whose three structural types in the Encyclopedia Galactica are set out under classification by consciousness structure; Grey-lineage species such as the Solipsi Rai and Maitre are said to operate as Type 1 hives under Nebu-group Grey queen-consciousness structures.

Multi-species contact settings

A 2021 contactee account describes the interior of a GFW space station above Jupiter as a transit hub populated simultaneously by multiple species: Ginvo from Procyon, Emerthers from Tau Ceti, Errahel from the Pleiades, short triangular-faced T'Ashkeru from Sirius A and B, and others. This passage offers one of the few first-person reports describing the simultaneous physical coexistence of multiple alien species in a non-combat setting — providing a contextual taxonomy of which species are active in the solar system in the contemporary period.
