Camelopardalis (constellation)

Camelopardalis is a large but faint northern constellation in the sky of Earth, covering 757 square degrees between Ursa Major, Perseus, Auriga, and Draco; despite its size it contains no stars brighter than fourth magnitude, one of the least visually prominent constellations in the northern sky, and none of its component star systems carries life, including intelligent life, publicly acknowledged or confirmed by the mainstream scientific community or SETI.[citation needed] According to the cataloguer Elena Danaan, compiling contactee and channelled testimony in the Encyclopedia Galactica, Camelopardalis is nonetheless documented as the constellation zone containing six distinct non-human civilizations — the Mazarek, Shrug, Lerb and Erket, Ezran, Yudul, and Vrego — resident in five separate star systems ranging from 100 to more than 1,000 light-years from Earth, reportedly below mainstream detection by virtue of that ordinary interstellar distance rather than any density-shift or cloaking mechanism, since the catalogue describes all six peoples as ordinary third-density physical beings rather than an elevated-density or non-corporeal population.[citation needed] None of the six is dated to a particular era of settlement in the sources consulted.

Astronomical overview

Camelopardalis (Latin for "giraffe," from the Greek καμηλοπάρδαλις, itself derived from the Arabic) was formally designated by the Dutch astronomer and theologian Petrus Plancius in 1612, and later standardized as one of the 88 official constellations by the International Astronomical Union. Its most notable stars include Beta Camelopardalis — a yellow-hued G1 Ib–IIa supergiant of apparent magnitude 4.02, some 840 ± 40 light-years distant — and the semiregular variable VZ Camelopardalis, an M4III red giant. The constellation lies in a relatively star-sparse zone of the Milky Way, which may explain why its catalogued civilizations are largely independent of the major galactic alliances and federations concentrated in denser stellar regions.[citation needed]

Life

The six civilisations catalogued across Camelopardalis's five systems are all described as physical, third-density biological beings — none is reported at an elevated density or as a non-corporeal population.[citation needed] The Mazarek (or Mazarik), a belligerent, Grey-Reptiloid-featured people of the Mzaar (Beta Cam) binary system marked by glowing blue transparent skin, were long confined to their home planet by the Galactic Federation of Worlds for their violent tendencies and remain proudly independent of both the Federation and the Nebu. The Shrug, indigenous to Ghas — the fifth planet of the Yeeheelee system (HD 29021) — are a peaceful, spiritual, Federation-affiliated culture with colonies across several systems. The Lerb and their planetary co-inhabitants the Erket, a peaceful, vegan reptilian people and subspecies of the Juruyatam system (HD 32518), maintain a fleet used only for commerce and protection. The Ezran are human intergalactic travellers, originally of a world in the galaxy NGC 7318A (visible through Pegasus), who settled the Ezgayat system's fourth planet and remain unaffiliated with any Nataru-galaxy organization. The Yudul, an oviparous, three-gendered Reptilian culture of the Mimorgul system (TOI-1710), are Federation members known as committed defenders of the weak. The Vrego, a belligerent, hive-conscious people of the Aromankarad system (XO-3), were formerly allied with the Nebu Empire until its collapse.

The Mazarek separately hold an alliance with the tall Grey Maytrei of Meton, which has let them circumvent the Federation's ban on their leaving Mzaar and roam the galaxy in what Danaan calls "vintage flying saucers." Whether the Shrug, Lerb, Erket, Ezran, Yudul or Vrego are aware of one another, of their catalogued neighbours, or of Earth is not stated in the sources consulted.
