Einstein–Rosen bridge accessing device
An Einstein–Rosen bridge accessing device is any alleged apparatus that accesses naturally occurring or ancient wormhole sites at fixed geographic coordinates by piggybacking on their Einstein-Rosen Bridge field. Two primary types exist: stargate devices (equipped with field posts enabling physical transit) and Looking Glass devices (viewing-only without field posts). The device was reverse-engineered from galactic-coordinate data encoded on Sumerian cylinder seals and, according to Dan Burisch, more than fifty units were constructed and deployed worldwide before their decommissioning under the Tau-9 Conference (2003–04).
Physical description
The EBAD consists of three hardware components: a projection device, an electromagnetic ring assembly, and a barrel. Field posts positioned around the device stabilize and expand the Einstein-Rosen Bridge aperture to allow biological transit. Operators carried a "flip book" worn on the arm containing galactic positioning codes required to program destination coordinates into the device.
Types
Einstein-Rosen bridge accessing devices share three core hardware components: a projection device, electromagnetic ring assembly, and barrel. The distinction between types lies in the presence or absence of field posts and the device's angular orientation:

A Looking Glass device can be converted to a stargate by making "a couple changes to the equipment, lift it up on an angle, put field posts around it and open up a hole to step through."
Origin
The Sumerians preserved portal access coordinates on clay cylinder seals approximately 6,000 years ago; thousands of these were held at the Baghdad Museum. Burisch states that the information on the seals — which came ultimately from an off-world source — was reverse-engineered into the EBAD by mirror-imaging the cylinder seal glyphs; the seals themselves were not the source but the medium.
Distinction from Looking Glass
The Looking Glass device was itself back-engineered from the EBAD: two components were removed and the remaining assembly's angle relative to Earth's center was changed, yielding a device capable of receiving information from other times but not of transmitting biological material. Burisch describes the relationship: "The Looking Glass device is a back-engineered Stargate... bumped up in power to stabilize the 'doorway'... The Looking Glass is a secondary device."
Field use
The EBAD was transported to and operated at natural wormhole sites. At Frenchman Mountain in Nevada — identified as a natural vortex location — a Stargate device was hauled to the site and used to access the local Einstein-Rosen Bridge, with curtains erected to block observation from the mountain's peak. The device was also used for communication at a distance: Burisch recounts that, via an Einstein-Rosen Bridge, information was remotely extracted from a defense computer system.
The most publicly documented EBAD operation is the 2003 Abydos operation, in which Chi'el'ah — a P-52 J-Rod held at S-4 — was transported to the Abydos Temple on the Nile in a pressurized stroller and passed through a wormhole localized there; Burisch pushed the stroller through the open Einstein-Rosen Bridge field in an unauthorized action, sending Chi'el'ah home.
Decommissioning
Following the Tau-9 Conference (2003–04), all EBAD and Looking Glass devices were decommissioned. Their three physical components were distributed separately to the European Union, United Nations, and NATO — no single party receiving all three — so that no working device could be reconstructed without multilateral agreement. The motivation, according to Burisch, was that operation of the devices contributed to the causal chain producing the future catastrophic pole shift that destroyed the P-52 J-Rod timeline; the P-52 visitors had come back specifically to advise decommissioning during the danger window.
