The MH370 endothermic event is the alleged terminal flash visible in the leaked MH370 surveillance videos — a luminous, reportedly energy-absorbing event in which the Boeing 777 and the three surrounding orbs purportedly vanish simultaneously from frame near the Nicobar Islands on 8 March 2014. The phenomenon is so designated by researcher Ashton Forbes and others. Unlike a conventional explosion, the event is characterised as dark rather than bright — a feature Forbes argues is inconsistent with a VFX explosion asset and consistent with an energy-sink phenomenon such as a wormhole transit.
Visible signatures
In the footage, the three orbs converge around the aircraft in a triangular formation before a flash illuminates the surrounding clouds in three dimensions, with light reflecting off nearby cloud surfaces — a feature Forbes argues rules out a two-dimensional composite or VFX fabrication. The aircraft and all three orbs disappear from frame simultaneously at the event's peak.
Eyewitness corroboration
A British eyewitness, Catherine T., reported from a vessel in the Nicobar Islands area that a large low-flying passenger aircraft with an orange glow and dark trailing smoke "literally disappeared," after which she observed an orange halo over the water — which Forbes interprets as the plasma-field afterglow of the transit event.
Proposed physical mechanism
Forbes characterises the event as a wormhole transit generated by the combined magnetohydrodynamic fields of the orbs, displacing the aircraft into a "counter space" or "true vacuum" state outside normal spacetime. Dave Rossi's fourth orb hypothesis frames the same moment as the completion of a quadrupole system in which a fourth, off-camera orb at the destination receives the aircraft. Steven Greer's team assessed the depicted capability as a man-made Einstein–Rosen bridge test.
