Project Pegasus is an alleged classified DARPA time-space exploration program described by Andrew Basiago as having operated from approximately 1968 to 1972, purportedly employing two distinct technologies — Tesla teleportation (the "Val Tec" system) and the Chronovisor — to transport child and adult participants through time and space, conduct temporal observation of past and probable-future events, and gather intelligence through remote viewing and chronovision. Basiago was one of approximately 140 gifted American schoolchildren recruited into the program in 1969, introduced by his father Raymond F. Basiago, an engineer serving as chief technical liaison between the Ralph M. Parsons Company and the CIA.
Origins
The program emerged from a post-war consolidation of multiple research streams: ancient accounts of time travel gathered from Babylonian, Sumerian, and Egyptian sources; extraterrestrial technology acquired from UFO crash retrievals and ET-human liaison projects; Nazi German and Soviet teleportation research captured as "foreign technology"; and the schematics of Nikola Tesla, whose papers were legally seized from his New York apartment upon his death on January 7, 1943, under the Alien Properties Act. The impetus for the program was the July 1952 overflight of Washington D.C. by nine extraterrestrial craft clocked at 7,000 mph — an event that prompted the Air Force to task Raymond F. Basiago, then at Oak Electronics Company in Paramus, New Jersey, with repeating Tesla's teleportation experiments at the Thomas A. Edison Research Labs in West Orange, where he discovered that a Tesla Energetic Array installed at Curtiss-Wright in Wood Ridge, New Jersey, was a functional teleporter when a technician accidentally walked through it and arrived in Africa.
Technology
The primary transit system operated through a plasma confinement chamber at the Curtiss-Wright facility in Wood Ridge, New Jersey, generating a "shimmering curtain" of radiant energy between two elliptical booms — described as resembling two parentheses-shaped elephant tusks approximately eight feet high and ten feet apart on the shop floor — through which travelers entered a vortal tunnel of bluish-white holographic light connecting the departure point to a preset destination in time-space. Travelers had to jump through the field at approximately one meter per second to avoid dismemberment at the field boundary. The Chronovisor, adapted from technology associated with Father Pellegrino Ernetti and transferred from the Vatican through the CIA, provided temporal observation without physical transit. A third jump room system, developed at El Segundo, California, was used in the successor Mars Jump Room program (1980–1984).
The Ralph M. Parsons Company, whose founder Ralph M. Parsons later renamed the world's largest private yacht "Pegasus" — purchased from arms merchant Adnan Khashoggi — is identified by Basiago as the principal corporate entity behind the program's engineering development. Harold M. Agnew, director of the Weapons Division of Los Alamos National Laboratory and later director of the laboratory itself (1970–1979), served as the program's principal scientific architect — described by Basiago as the true "father of time travel" rather than Einstein or von Neumann.
Destinations claimed
Through Project Pegasus, Basiago visited Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 19 November 1863 (see Gettysburg photograph), Ford's Theater on the night of Lincoln's assassination (five or six occasions), the year 2045, and — in a quantum displacement incident — spent a summer in White Rock, New Mexico, in 1973 as accessed from fall 1971, returning to New Jersey in time so that no absence was apparent to his family. Approximately 140 American children served as chrononauts across the program's duration, trained in what Basiago calls "alpha intelligence" techniques — observation, memory, reporting, and operational self-protection.
Philadelphia Experiment connection
Basiago identifies what is commonly called the Philadelphia Experiment as a precursor operation — not conducted at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard with the USS Eldridge, but in Long Island Sound with a ship called the USS Martha's Vineyard, commanded by physicists J. Robert Oppenheimer and Edward Teller, whose mission was to use Tesla teleportation to evade Nazi mines — resulting in one casualty when a sailor was impaled on the captain's mast upon the ship's return.
The published story of the Philadelphia Experiment — involving the USS Eldridge, radar invisibility, and multiple sailors fused into the deck — was scripted by the Office of Naval Intelligence to sever the three critical connections: Tesla, teleportation, and the Los Alamos physicists. The actual experiment used the same physicists as the Manhattan Project; Basiago states he met Edward Teller during his childhood service in Project Pegasus, confirming that Teller was personally present at the Martha's Vineyard experiment and in the Pegasus program thereafter. Project Pegasus's first successful Tesla teleportation took place in the winter of 1968, when Basiago — then aged six and a half — was transported between the Curtiss-Wright facility in Wood Ridge, New Jersey, and the New Mexico state capitol grounds in Santa Fe, at a meeting where his father presented the program's prospectus to Harold Agnew.
Presidential foreknowledge
Among the approximately 140 children Basiago identifies as chrononauts, he claims that at least one future US president was among his Project Pegasus training cohort. Basiago states that a fellow trainee using the name "Barry Soetoro" — later known as Barack Obama — participated in the same Mars Jump Room programme in the summer of 1980, a claim he interprets as evidence that future political leaders were being identified through Looking Glass-style timeline viewing and pre-positioned in the program.
Basiago further claims to have participated, as one of America's first time-space explorers: "I was one of 140 gifted and talented American schoolchildren who were brought into DARPA's Project Pegasus in the fall of 1969, which for most of us was our 3rd grade year, certainly was mine. As one of America's early time-space explorers, I was the first American child to teleport via Tesla teleportation."
Stillings, Project TALENT, and Salla follow-up
Basiago identifies William Brett Stillings as a fellow Mars jump room participant — a figure he also notes as a corroborating witness to the Gettysburg teleportation photograph: Stillings is described as "the great nephew of the photo analyst at the Library of Congress, Josephine Cobb, who in 1951 took a magnifying glass and found two pixels of President Lincoln's head when he was sitting down back on the dais." Basiago attributes child chrononaut selection to the Project TALENT program — a program initiated by Admiral Hyman Rickover in the late 1950s to identify young Americans of "advanced intellectual, psychic, and leadership potential." Michael Salla confirmed Basiago's testimony on this point: "I actually did follow up on a couple of people that were in that talented and gifted children's program and they confirm that you were also part of that."
