Farsight Institute

The Farsight Institute is a nonprofit remote viewing research and educational organization founded and directed by Courtney Brown, a professor of political science at Emory University. It applies scientific remote viewing (SRV) protocols — sessions conducted entirely solo by trained practitioners without any monitor or guide — to investigate topics including non-human intelligences and their interactions with Earth, the secret space program, and historical events. Its content is distributed through a streaming service at FarsightPrime.com and a printed-materials website at Farsight.org.

Methodology

Farsight's remote viewers undergo a year-long full-time training programme before working on projects, and bring several further years of operational experience to each target. Sessions are recorded on video and conducted in a studio with no other person present; viewers work independently of one another and have no communication between them regarding any shared target. Brown describes the approach as going beyond conventional double-blind conditions: because no second person with knowledge of the target interacts with the viewer at any point, the concept of single- or double-blind does not strictly apply. Targets always include at least one physically verifiable element so that viewer accuracy can be assessed. Brown, who also holds an academic appointment teaching statistics and nonlinear mathematics, describes himself as applying an academic's standard of rigour to research conducted entirely outside his university role.

For projects requiring extensive detail, Farsight uses what it calls an interviewer — a person who watches the session remotely over video with their own camera and audio off, and intervenes only to prompt the viewer to advance to the next focus (e.g. "move to focus two"), never identifying the target or its elements.

Projects

Farsight's published projects span the investigation of non-human intelligent beings present on and around Earth, alleged secret space program operations, and investigations into politically significant historical events including the JFK assassination and the September 11 attacks. In March 2022 Farsight published a project called Super Soldiers of the Series, in which remote viewers were sent blind to two specific scenes described by 20-and-back experiencer Tony Rodrigues: an encounter with insectoid beings on the surface of Mars, and scenes set aboard a ship in the Sirius system. Brown describes the Mars target as chosen because its verifiable physical characteristics (desert terrain, very thin atmosphere, sub-zero temperatures) could not plausibly be confabulated, while the insectoid interaction Rodrigues described was sufficiently unusual to function as a unique signature.

Grey aliens

Brown reports that Farsight has conducted extended physical meetings with Grey-type and human-appearing non-human intelligent beings, and distinguishes between two broad Grey factions: one collaborating with what he terms the "bad ETs" and one aligned with the "good ETs". He states that Farsight's remote viewing work could not proceed without protection from allied non-human intelligences against interference from hostile ET factions.

Free will vs. authoritarian framework

Brown's foundational analytical framework, developed in his 1999 book Cosmic Explorers, divides the galaxy's civilisations into two opposing coalitions: a "free will" faction that respects individual choice and evolutionary self-determination, and an "authoritarian" faction that operates by control, secrecy, and subjugation of less-developed worlds. The authoritarian coalition operating on Earth is described by Brown as comprising primarily a reptilian faction and a humanoid faction he identifies as "Orions" — normally competitors who maintain a working alliance on Earth rooted in a shared interest in human compliance. Brown contends that every major Earth religion — including Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam — was seeded or co-opted by the authoritarian coalition as a system of psychological control, with the Catholic Church's substitution of a pantheon of saints for earlier Greco-Roman deities representing a deliberate replacement of one control system with another when the prior one became obsolete.

The Cosmic Explorers remote viewing sessions additionally produced data on Mars described by Brown as depicting a remnant underground population surviving a planetary catastrophe, and on Pleiadian civilisations described as the primary representatives of the free will faction in contact with Earth.

Government tolerance and controlled release

Brown, speaking on Earth Ancients in 2015, described the Farsight Institute's continued public operation as itself evidence of a government decision to permit selective disclosure rather than suppress it: "If the government is allowing the Farsight Institute to do these projects, there's no question about it. They could close us down in a second... The only reason we are able to do what we're doing is because somebody in the government has made a decision that it's time for this information, this type of information to come out." Brown contrasted this with the systematic disruption of UFO research organizations in earlier decades — the 1960s through 1990s — when such groups were "systematically disrupted so that they would not gain a large audience," arguing that the cessation of that pattern was itself a signal of a policy shift toward permitting independent disclosure. Brown cited as corroborating evidence the absence of any government interference when Farsight published its remote viewing project on the September 11 attacks: "As soon as I revealed what the project was to the viewers, the first thing they said was, are we going to be allowed to publish this thing? And that was — there was no interference whatsoever."

Ed Dames and the STARGATE lineage

The Farsight Institute's methodological lineage traces directly to the U.S. Army's STARGATE program through Ed Dames, the former program officer who trained Courtney Brown in remote viewing. Richard Dolan documented that Dames — while associated with a private study group oriented toward UAP intelligence in the late 1980s and early 1990s — "was said to have given a presentation on remote viewing alien bases on Earth with the suggestion that teams be sent to investigate them," illustrating how the operational protocols developed under STARGATE were being extended by its veterans into ET-focused civilian research before the program was officially declassified in 1995.

Celestial Projects

The "Celestial Projects" series emerged from a pattern Brown noticed across all of Farsight's historical remote viewing work: extraterrestrials kept appearing in every target, regardless of whether they were expected. The series targets ET involvement in specific historical events, including popes, political leaders, the JFK assassination, the September 11 attacks, and the Martin Luther King assassination.

A Celestial Project on Operation High Jump concluded that Admiral Richard Byrd's 1946–47 Antarctic flotilla was repelled not by surviving Nazis but by a "Pleiadian" faction operating under reptilian direction, who had created the German Antarctic base in the first place and then offered the U.S. government underground base rights as "protection" from the crisis they themselves had engineered.

Vladimir Putin and neural engagement project

In April 2022, Farsight published the results of the Vladimir Putin and His Inner Circle project. Four remote viewers working independently under blind conditions targeted Putin at the moment he authorized the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. All four described manipulative ET entities using neural engagement on Putin and his circle, exploiting moments of stress to influence decision-making. Only FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov appeared to resist the manipulation.

Tony Rodrigues verification project

On the Tony Rodrigues project, Farsight viewers working under blind conditions independently located and described a base inside Ceres matching Rodrigues's published account, and a separate incident on Mars in which a mantis-type being examined Rodrigues. One viewer, Yee — described as legally blind for most of her adult life — appeared to plant a deep memory suggestion within Rodrigues's consciousness during a past session, which Brown believes may account for his eventual recall of suppressed experiences.

UAP videography program

Brown states that Lincoln Leoni — described as the lead air traffic control person at Reagan National Airport — arrived at Farsight's studio with Excel spreadsheets detailing cloaked craft movements over Washington airspace and gave precise instructions on camera equipment. The institute purchased Panasonic GH6 cameras with infrared-blocking filters removed, filming craft traveling at roughly 20,000 miles per hour invisible to the naked eye.

Prime Kusanagi AI

Farsight deployed an AI avatar named Prime Kusanagi to systematize the institute's accumulated project library, generating written analysis and statistical accuracy measures from raw remote viewing transcripts collected under blind conditions. Prime Kusanagi analyzed Farsight data on Bob Lazar claims covering S-4, the sport model craft, and the gravity B-wave, generating the institute's first AI-validated accuracy assessment of a major whistleblower case.
