Niara Terela Isley is a US Air Force veteran, author, and secret space program experiencer best known for her claim — recovered through hypnotic regression — that a three-to-four-month block of missing time during her 1980 tour at the Tonopah Electronic Warfare Range conceals an involuntary twenty-years-and-back tour in a covert off-planet program involving radar duty tracking unidentified craft, transport to an underground facility, service at a lunar facility, and archaeological excavation on Mars under the oversight of a tall grey extraterrestrial and human military personnel. She has written about these experiences in her book Facing the Shadow, Embracing the Light: The Journey of Spirit Retrieval and Awakening.
Military service
Isley enlisted in the US Air Force in April 1979, completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base and technical school at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. Her military occupational specialty was surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery radar operator and maintenance technician. She was assigned to Osan Air Force Base in North Las Vegas, Nevada, before being detailed to the Tonopah Electronic Warfare Range.
Alleged secret space program service
Selection and predisposition
Isley allegedly was selected for the program in part because childhood abductions by grey aliens had already exposed her mind to extraterrestrial telepathy, purportedly making her a suitable candidate for the covert conditioning program. The covert infrastructure through which the conscription allegedly operated is described as rooted in the National Security Act of 1947 and Operation Paperclip, through which Nazi scientists introduced trauma-based mind control techniques later formalized in programs such as MKULTRA.
Radar duty at Tonopah
In January 1980, during her assignment to the Tonopah Electronic Warfare Range, Isley reportedly tracked unidentified aircraft at night from the deck of a radar van. According to her recovered account, the craft would vanish from the radar scope and re-materialize at different positions. She and the other two members of her radar crew had allegedly been stripped of rank insignia and name tags, and were forbidden from speaking to one another under threat from armed personnel.
Underground facility and chemical injection
Following the radar testing, Isley was allegedly transported to an underground facility — either Area 51 or an underground annex of the Tonopah installation — where she was injected with a fluorescent green chemical, placed in an observation booth, and sexually assaulted by two security guards while eight observers, including a tall grey extraterrestrial, looked on. Isley has characterized the sequence — whether occurring on Earth or during her alleged off-planet transport — as an instance of off-planet human trafficking.
Moon base duties
Isley was purportedly transported to a lunar facility and assigned to slave labor using electromagnetic excavation equipment for landing-pad construction. After her alleged lunar service, Isley reportedly was transported to Mars, where she participated in archaeological excavation of ruins near the Cydonia region adjacent to the Face on Mars, including biological specimen collection and work in genetics laboratories. Lyran intervention and release
In a 2010–2011 quantum healing hypnosis session conducted by Mary Rodwell, Isley was reportedly shown the lunar facility where she had allegedly been held and witnessed a tall extraterrestrial communicate telepathically with the human officer overseeing her captivity, warning him that her Lyran galactic lineage was aware of everything being done to her and that a treaty protected individuals of that lineage. According to the account, this intervention caused her captors to wipe her memory and return her to Earth.
Recovery and recall integration
The gap in Isley's memory purportedly surfaced years later during a conversation with a friend in Las Vegas, when she was asked to recount her military service chronologically. On reaching Tonopah, she allegedly stopped speaking mid-sentence and realized she retained no memory of her three-to-four months at that posting — an absence she describes as provoking immediate nausea and terror. She subsequently volunteered at the Whole Life Expo in Las Vegas, where she encountered abduction researcher Budd Hopkins, who agreed to conduct an initial hypnosis session that reportedly recovered the radar-van and underground-facility material. Civilian career
After leaving the Air Force, Isley worked for the government contractor EG&G in Nevada.
