Mantis beings

Mantis beings — also called Mantids, the Mantid race, Mantis aliens, praying mantis aliens, or simply Insectoids — are allegedly large non-human intelligent beings of mantis-like morphology described consistently across contactee testimony, alien abduction research, secret space program witness accounts, and channeled and exopolitical literature. Witnesses describe an upright, elongated insectoid body plan with very large compound or faceted eyes and a triangular head, supervisory or commanding presence in abduction scenarios, and alleged roles as specialist practitioners in competing extraterrestrial genetic programs. Contactee literature characterises them as among the most ancient and highly evolved races in the local stellar cluster.

Physical description

Mantis beings are reported to stand seven to ten feet tall in their physical form, with a vaguely humanoid upright posture, a long triangular face resembling a praying mantis or grasshopper, large slanted upright black eyes, a sharp pointed beak, two slits for nostrils, three-pronged hands and feet with grasping pads, and "an extremely bony exoskeleton" with a long neck reportedly able to bend at impossible angles. Coloration is reported as green, white, or black, with the head V-shaped and the eyes large, black, and faceted. Abductee researcher David Jacobs, drawing on decades of hypnotic regression testimony, identifies "praying mantis" as the term most commonly volunteered by abductees themselves to describe the senior beings observed in abduction scenarios — a convergence that he and others treat as evidence of a genuine consistent morphological referent rather than imaginative confabulation.

The chitinous exoskeleton reportedly produces audible sounds when the being moves — a sliding, fingernail-like noise that witnesses describe as instinctively unsettling even before the being is seen. Elena Danaan's childhood abduction account similarly describes Greys communicating in "crackling, creaking insectoid sounds" — with a more expressive supervisory Grey directing the others, consistent with the command-tier insectoid presence frequently reported above Grey types. According to Corey Goode, the bodies of Mantis beings produce a visceral stress response in humans regardless of psychological preparation: "your body, before your mind has a chance to process it, your body has some sort of a strange visceral reaction" — comparable to the response triggered by Draco reptilians, and distinct from the reaction to humanoid types. Goode further reports that a security guard at Area 51 allegedly died of cardiac arrest upon encountering a Mantis being walking through a corridor, after which subsequent personnel were reportedly subjected to a gradual visual desensitisation protocol using flashed photographs.

Campobasso reports that some Mantis beings allegedly originate from interdimensional space, existing primarily in the sixth through twelfth densities but able to "step down" into the third through fifth densities, and adds that astral-form Mantis beings reportedly grow as large as a football field. They are characterised in this material as "frequency aligners" who allegedly perceive the universe as a symphony and work to tune "discordant sectors" back into harmony, and their spacecraft are reported to contain "biological supercomputers" integrated into the craft's living systems.

Subspecies and variants

The terms "Mantis" and "Mantid" reportedly encompass several distinct subtypes of insectoid being; not all such beings belong to the same species or political affiliation. Among the named lineages, Elena Danaan's A Gift from the Stars identifies the Akara as Mantis-type insectoids reportedly originating in the Sombrero Galaxy (M104), about 28 million light-years from Earth, organised as a matriarchal hive society and existing across densities three through nine; an Akara colony also reportedly resides near the Orion Nebula (M42), in a region called "The Square," supporting Nebu Orion Empire logistics. Danaan's Encyclopedia Galactica Volume I adds that the Akara Mantids "naturally radiate an interdimensional distortion field, which can be uncomfortable to experience if unprepared," with impressive telekinesis and mind-control abilities, and identifies a related insectoid species, the Shena, that shares the distortion-field trait — characteristic, in this taxonomy, of advanced insectoid lineages.

A minority hypothesis advanced by Dan Burisch proposes that some abductee reports of mantis-type beings actually reflect encounters with hunched, ailing J-Rod Zeta Reticulans suffering from progressive neuromuscular degeneration, whose forward-leaning posture and extended arms allegedly resemble a praying mantis silhouette in the shock of encounter. Burisch's claim is offered as a partial — not total — explanation; he treats abductee mantis reports as describing a real phenomenon, though he attributes some fraction of them to misidentified Zetans rather than a separate insectoid species.

Communication and psychology

Mantis beings reportedly communicate among themselves through a shared neural network analogous to a hive consciousness or collective telepathy, supplemented by audible "clicking as well as high-pitched sounds." Campobasso describes this as a voluntary hive mind functioning "like a mind-internet," with individual Mantis beings able to "enter their species' hive mind and exit at will" — a framing that distinguishes their hive consciousness from accounts presenting insectoid hive mind as involuntary. Communication with humans reportedly requires deliberate effort because the Mantis cognitive framework is so divergent from the human emotional register: according to Goode, Mantis beings "are totally divorced from us when it comes to emotion. So we could kind of call them amoral, but when they are interacting with us, they are not thinking, 'Oh, this poor human.' That just has not entered their consciousness. They are there working on a project, and we are the subjects of that project." Campobasso similarly notes that Mantis beings "have emotions, but because they are unable to use facial expressions like humans do, some might think they are detached and unfeeling," and reports that they communicate with audible clicking and high-pitched sounds and are "more drawn to the feminine, the mother principles of the universe."

Some witnesses report Mantis beings as capable of spoken conversation and even dark humour. A Mantis-associated insectoid being on a lunar programming facility reportedly "made a joke" — recounted by Tony Rodrigues — about human dietary habits: "Well, you got it right. We think that it's disgusting the way you guys eat. It's not normal."

Hierarchy and political role

In Elena Danaan's taxonomy of adversarial forces allegedly occupying Earth prior to 2021, Mantis (Insectoids) hold the third tier of command, below the Draco reptilians and Maytrei (Tall Greys) but above the Solipsi Rai (Zeta Greys): "Reptilians from Thuban, the Draco reptilians and Nagai, are in command of the Earth-based Reptilians. These are in turn in command of the Maytrei (Tall Greys) and Mantis (Insectoids), who command the Do-Hu Zetai or the enslaved faction of Solipsi Rai and their related cloned and biosynthetic technicians." The same taxonomy also locates Mantis-type beings within the invasion-force hierarchy on Terra as commanders of the enslaved Do-Hu Zetai and Solipsi Rai under the authority of the Maytrei tall Greys. Goode reports witnessing a Draco-aligned council meeting at which Mantid beings and other insectoids stood "in some sort of loose formation" behind soldier reptilians — positioned as part of an honour-guard structure surrounding a White Reptilian Royal Draco.

A survey of alien species on the UFO: WHISTLEBLOWER! podcast placed Mantis beings in the upper command tier of the non-human intelligences active on Earth, consistent with the David Jacobs and Elena Danaan taxonomies, and observed that witnesses across multiple independent testimony streams describe the same supervisory insectoid presence overseeing Grey operations — abductees often reporting that what initially seemed an encounter with Greys alone resolved, on closer attention, into a scenario in which a larger insectoid being was observing from the shadows or from behind glass, suggesting a management hierarchy analogous to a military chain of command rather than a single-species operation.

Role in genetic and abduction programs

Mantis beings appear consistently across multiple contactee accounts as alleged specialist practitioners in competing extraterrestrial genetic programs rather than political agents of any single faction. In the 22 genetic programs described in secret space program briefings reported by Corey Goode, Mantis beings reportedly work alongside Grey types, Nordic types, and even Reptilians — functioning as the technical genetic specialists rather than program managers, and identified as "THE genetic masters in our local cluster." The Akara ethical framework reported by Danaan, in which "good" and "bad" are absent and replaced by a logic of utility, is offered as the alleged reason some Akara participate in Draco and Orion Empire hybridization programs without, by their own standards, perceiving those activities as violations. Campobasso similarly reports that some Mantis beings "have been seen in the background of abduction cases, alongside Greys either facilitating or protecting."

Benevolent Mantis individuals

Not all Mantis beings are reported as adversarial. Elena Danaan describes a benevolent Mantis named Maesha as a close companion and colleague of Galactic Federation of Worlds commander Den Thor — "an amazing being with amazing telepathic powers, incredible being, this Mantid being" — who works alongside Pleiadian GFW personnel as a trusted team member. The black-subspecies Akara ("Tall Blacks"), with their black glossy exoskeleton and golden-to-glowing-red eyes, are reported as operating independently for their own scientific programs and assisting the Galactic Federation of Worlds in raising Terran consciousness rather than serving the Orion or Grey collectives. Rebecca Rose, who claims secret space program service on Mars, reports that the Mantis beings she encountered were territorial but ultimately peaceful, recounting that her unit was sent to locate Mantis elders described as holding a resonant frequency unifying the species collective — though the architecture surrounding their underground domicile, she said, had been built by other beings, not by the Mantis themselves; she also noted that, unusually for advanced beings, the Mantis she encountered lacked weapons technology and interstellar craft. These accounts parallel David Jacobs's observation that the commanding Mantis beings in abduction scenarios operate with apparent intelligence and purposefulness distinguishable from the more mechanical behaviour of Greys below them.

Mars insectoid variant

A distinct type of insectoid being is alleged to be native to Mars — described by Tony Rodrigues as more spider-like than mantis-like, approximately the size of a motorcycle, capable of quiet movement and sudden aggressive postures, and operating a highly advanced biological technology in which specialist subspecies (diggers, builders, and the like) are genetically engineered for specific tasks and die once those tasks are complete, in lieu of mechanical technology. Rodrigues reports having encountered these Martian insectoids during alleged 20-and-back service as a slave fighter in a mercenary force protecting corporate bases against indigenous Martians, "which included highly intelligent insectoid"; he describes them as engaged in organised territorial conflict with human SSP personnel. Remote viewing by the Farsight Institute under Courtney Brown reportedly corroborated Rodrigues's accounts, with four blind remote viewers describing Martian engagements consistent with pages 185–193 of his book Ceres Colony Cavalier (2022). Michael Salla has documented Mantis beings as one of several indigenous insectoid species encountered by early German and American colonists on Mars, alongside arachnid and reptilian species, all reportedly highly territorial.
