Unukhi

The Unukhi (also Mythilae) are an alleged non-human species from the star Alya-Unukhalai in Serpens, related to Reptoid species but not classified as Reptilians.

Homeworld

The Unukhi originate from the star Alya (also called Unukhalai or Theta Serpentis), a binary star system in Serpens approximately 132 light-years from Earth. Their world is described as dark, cold, and damp; the Unukhi are adapted to survive in very cold temperatures, having evolved in an environment radically different from Earth's temperate biosphere.

Physiology and environment

The Unukhi feed on vegetation and crushed minerals, with a particular dietary requirement for carbon. They do not breathe oxygen and must use a special organic mask when visiting Earth or other oxygen-rich environments, giving them an unusual appearance by humanoid standards.

Their classification as Reptoid-related but not Reptilian distinguishes them from the primary reptilian lineages such as the Draco reptilians or Nagai. The Reptoid category encompasses species with reptilian physiognomy that evolved independently of the main galactic reptilian family trees, often developing distinct metabolic profiles suited to extreme environments.

Ships

The Unukhi's spacecraft are vertically shaped — an unusual configuration among spacefaring species and one that reflects the Unukhi's distinct engineering tradition. Vertically oriented craft are among the more rarely documented configurations in galactic spacefaring technology, and the Unukhi's preference for this design may reflect either aerodynamic requirements of their cold, dense homeworld atmosphere or cultural aesthetic traditions specific to their civilization.

Discovery of Earth and GFW application

The Unukhi discovered Earth only in the 1960s — making them among the more recently arrived species in Earth's galactic neighborhood — and are in the process of joining the Galactic Federation of Worlds. During their candidacy period, the GFW permits them to hover above Earth's polar zones and land to take environmental samples, on the condition that the rules of non-intervention are respected. Their interest in Earth's polar regions is consistent with their biological preference for cold, dark, and damp environments similar to their homeworld.

The Unukhi pose no threat to humans and are not interested in participating in the GFW's Earth liberation operations. Their focus appears to be scientific and exploratory rather than political; their Earth visits are understood as sample-collection expeditions rather than diplomatic overtures or interventionist operations.
