The Korendi are an alleged non-human humanoid species from the planet Korendor, the third of twelve worlds in the Korena star system approximately 400 light-years from Earth. Standing 4–5 feet tall, they are noted for vibrant luminous indigo eyes — a trait described as unique among humanoid species — paired with no eyebrows, a slightly prominent forehead, small pointed ears, no hair, slit nostrils, prominent cheekbones, a thick neck, and a muscular, slightly tanned physique. They are members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds.

Origin uncertainty

Uniquely among the humanoid peoples catalogued by Elena Danaan, the Korendi have no definitive knowledge of their own stellar origin: they have been on Korendor so long that they cannot tell where their race first came from. Their oral traditions contain legends suggesting an intergalactic origin — placing them in an unusual category among Galactic Federation of Worlds members, most of whom trace lineage to the Lyran Wars diaspora or to specific pre-war civilisations.

Physical description

In addition to the indigo eyes — unique among humanoid species — females retain hair (typically black or purple) while males are hairless, a sexual dimorphism unusual in the humanoid species catalogued by Danaan. Their pointed ears and slit nostrils are shared with some Lyran-descent lineages but the distinctive indigo luminescence of the eyes has no parallel in any other catalogued species.

Culture and values

The Korendi are a pacifist culture who value family, love, and children. Education is of extreme importance: from an early age, Korendi children are taught galactic history and the traditions and cultures of the many worlds of Nataru (the Milky Way galaxy). They are described as "discreet and quiet beings" who nonetheless "will always support causes that defend justice and freedom for all species" — a disposition consistent with their membership in the Galactic Federation of Worlds and their non-interventionist posture toward Earth humans.

Abduction policy

The Korendi do not interfere much with Earth humans and have never engaged in abductions — distinguishing them sharply from the Grey species and their Orion Alliance affiliates whose presence in underground facilities on Earth is associated with treaty-based abduction programmes. Their Massachusetts underground complex serves an unspecified purpose consistent with Federation observation or logistical functions rather than the biological programme the Greys pursue.

The contrast with abducting species is significant in the context of what researcher Robert Monroe termed "loosh" — low-vibrational emotional energy (fear, suffering, trauma) which certain non-human entities are alleged to harvest from humans. Michael Salla has identified loosh-harvesting as a motivation for manipulating human conflict — sourcing this energy from wars, hatred, and suffering generated by reptilian-aligned entities working through terrestrial proxies. The Korendi's explicit abstention from abduction programmes and their GFW membership places them in the contrasting category of non-harvesting Federation races.

Galactic Guild of Merchants

The Encyclopedia Galactica entry for the Korendi adds a detail absent from the earlier A Gift from the Stars account: membership in the Galactic Guild of Merchants, a commercial-diplomatic body according to Galactic Federation of Worlds. This designation places the Korendi among the species engaged in interstellar trade and commerce, consistent with their Massachusetts Earth facility potentially serving trade or exchange purposes.

Earth presence

The Korendi maintain an extended underground facility in the US state of Massachusetts.

Ships

Their craft are beautifully profiled with a shiny, chrome-like appearance.

Sphere Alliance

The Korendi are identified as one of the constituent races of the Sphere Alliance — a coalition of advanced spacefaring civilizations operating within the broader Galactic Federation of Worlds framework, grouped alongside the Andromedans, Arcturians, Devonians, and Aviars (Cerez).

Character and ethics

The Encyclopedia Galactica entry describes the Korendi as "highly evolved and respectful" — a qualification that goes beyond the simple pacifism recorded in the earlier A Gift from the Stars account. The EG Vol I characterises their non-interference with Earthlings as a positive moral posture rather than indifference, noting that the Korendi "will always support causes that defend justice and freedom for all species" despite their quiet and discreet nature. The education of Korendi young — emphasising galactic history and the traditions and cultures of the many worlds of Nataru from early childhood — is understood as the foundation of this ethically engaged but non-interventionist stance.

Contactee history

The Korendi are among the extraterrestrial species with a documented contactee history on Earth. Bob Renaud, an American contactee active from the late 1950s onward, described ongoing communications with beings from the planet Korendor — the same world identified in later catalogues as the Korendi homeworld. In a discussion of the different galactic organizations intervening in human affairs, Michael Salla situated Renaud alongside Gabriel Green as among the earliest contactees to describe the benevolent organisational structures within which the Korendi operate, noting that Renaud "talked about the Confederation of Planets as being a kind of pacifist organization" and described "another organization... more interventionist and more military in orientation" — corresponding to the Galactic Federation of Worlds.

Boötes system context

In the Encyclopedia Galactica, the Korendi entry is situated within the Boötes constellation section, under the Korena star system. The immediately adjacent entry in the same star system is the Onoori — an eight-foot-tall humanoid people of the Noor race, refugees from the Lyran Wars who settled the fourth planet of the Korena system (Ronan IV) and subsequently developed their own space fleet and civilisation within the Galactic Federation of Worlds. The Korendi and Onoori thus share the same Korena star system — Korendor being the third planet and Ronan IV the fourth — with the Korendi being the original long-term inhabitants and the Onoori a later Noor refugee settlement.
