Wyxiul
The Wyxiul are an alleged human spacefaring nation and the dominant culture on Wyxi, the 8th planet of the Mushamar system (Copernicus / Rho 01 Cancri) in the Cancer constellation. Like Terra humans, the Wyxiul possess an innate sense of adventure, exploration, and galactic diplomacy.
Origins
The Wyxiul originate from the Lyra zone, displaced by the great wars against the Alpha Draconian Empire that decimated most star systems there. Their Lyran displacement links them to a broad diaspora of human populations scattered across the galaxy following the Draco reptilian conquests — making them kin, at the root level, to dozens of other human nations who fled the original Man system and its colonies. The trauma of that displacement reverberates across galactic history; as Salla has noted, "collective nightmares were brought to Earth by Lyran refugees who had escaped the destructive wars with Draconian reptilians that had engulfed their worlds," indicating the scale of devastation that drove peoples like the Wyxiul to resettle far from their origins.
Conflict with the Vahon
They regularly have skirmishes with their Vahon neighbors over territorial intrusions; no full war has yet broken out between the two civilizations despite Wyxiul provocations, with the difficulty that the Vahons are not members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds and cannot easily request assistance in restoring balance.
Trade and commerce
Members of both the Galactic Federation of Worlds and the Galactic Guild of Merchants, the Wyxiul are actively involved in armed conflicts throughout the galaxy and have established numerous commercial outposts near authorized stargates throughout their quadrant, being described as highly skilled traders. Their commercial infrastructure near stargates reflects both their mercantile skill and a strategic awareness of galactic transit routes — a legacy, perhaps, of centuries spent navigating as a displaced people before settling Wyxi.

In the Encyclopedia Galactica, the Wyxiul appear at page 255, within the Cancer constellation section covering the Mushamar system (Copernicus / Rho 01 Cancri). Their entry is preceded by the Volon (Planet 7, Mushamar, p. 253) and followed by the Sibur (Planet 10 Sham, p. 257) — making the Mushamar system one of the most densely populated multi-species systems catalogued in the Canis/Cancer galactic quadrant.

The Mushamar system is a G8V type yellow star hosting at least ten orbiting planets, several of which support distinct spacefaring civilizations. The Wyxiul on Planet 8 (Wyxi) thus coexist within the same stellar system as the Volon — a peaceful reptilian culture aligned with the Council of Alnilam — and the Sibur on Planet 10, a human-Gray hybrid species of disputed origin.
