The Negumak (race name: Gnomopo) are an alleged non-human species from the planet Negumak in the Antares (Scorpius) star system, named after their homeworld — the original race name being Gnomopo. One of the oldest known races in existence, they are tall, large, and insectoid in appearance — not based on humanoid, reptilian, Grey, or any other known galactic genetic template, making them genetically unique. Androgynous and oviparous, they fertilize their eggs once the eggs have reached a certain level of maturity.
Galactic status
The Negumak are not members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds and are feared by even the Draco reptilians — described as having the power to wipe out the Reptilian race entirely. The Galactic Federation has been trying to win the Negumak as an ally.
Relations with Earth
The Negumak conduct abductions on Earth, though the purpose is unknown to the Galactic Federation of Worlds; they use advanced mind control techniques skillfully and release captives afterwards. Earth governments became aware of their existence following first contact in 1989. Their ships are made of a dark glossy metal with very elaborate shapes.
2021–2023: Negumak mobilisation and GFW negotiations
During the final phase of the Galactic Federation of Worlds' expulsion of the Draco reptilians from the Sol system in 2021, the Federation requested that the Negumak station themselves at the edge of the star system to deter Draconian counter-attack — a request the Negumak accepted. Elena Danaan described this as strategic: the Negumak "never had to intervene" as their mere presence deterred the Draco reptilians from attempting to retake the system. On 19 April 2023, Danaan attended a formal meeting between a Negumak representative and the GFW High Council on a moon of Uranus (Ariel), during which the Negumak requested access to the GFW's genetic frequency database to identify hybrid hostages they could use to trade with the Draco reptilians ("Saka"). The GFW declined, offering instead to hold four Draco-hybrid hostages in custody aboard their battle station. The Negumak representative — described as enormous, olive-green, with a crest and metallic clicking claws — ultimately declined GFW membership but confirmed consideration of the prime directive documents provided.
Danaan also described the Negumak as "actually nice people" who "do not have the spirit of conquest," noting that despite appearances they are "very spiritual beings" — contrasting the Hollywood depiction of insectoid species as genocidal invaders with her direct encounter: "There are good looking aliens who want to kill us and there are ugly looking aliens who want to help us. And the Negumak are actually nice people." The Russian Alien Races Book, an alleged KGB document compiled between 1946 and 2013, also catalogues them under the entry "Negumak (Gnomopo)" as an extremely ancient race that exercises control over the minds of other beings, and identifies them as the visual inspiration for the alien creatures in the 1996 film Independence Day. Both sources agree on the race name "Gnomopo," extreme antiquity, and mind control abilities — the AGFTS (sourced from Thor Han Eredyon) describes them as using "mind-control very skillfully" during abductions. The Independence Day connection is unique to the KGB book and is not found in A Gift from the Stars (sourced from Thor Han Eredyon), which instead emphasizes the Negumak's insectoid appearance and their role as a deterrent force feared even by the Draco reptilians.
