Taygetan fauna
Taygetan fauna is the alleged animal life of the four inhabited planets of the Taygeta system — Erra, Temmer, Procyon, and Dakota — described by Swaruu of Erra, an Errahel woman from Erra, in communications transmitted to the Cosmic Agency channel through Gosia Duszak. Many species across the Taygeta system are the same as or similar to species found on Earth, with some notable absences (no horses, no rhinoceros, no crocodiles, no giraffes) and a number of species with no Earth equivalent. Swaruu attributed the presence of common species across multiple star systems to deliberate biological seeding by the Seeders (Intergalactic Confederation) rather than parallel evolution.
Pets
Three animals serve as primary companion animals in Taygetan society: domestic cats (identical to Earth cats), ferrets (similar but not identical to the Earth species), and the Mogg — a creature with no Earth counterpart.
The Mogg is described as a feathered, tree-climbing creature roughly the size of a house cat: its body is covered in short, dense green feathers functioning as fur, with longer colorful feathers on the elbows, knees, and a large decorative tail, plus a prominent crest on the head. Despite avian characteristics (hatches from an egg, has hard lips resembling a bill, two rows of sharp teeth), the Mogg is classified as a bird; males are larger and more colorful than females. Its diet is primarily fruit, nuts, and fish from shallow creeks; it is a social animal that forms large arboreal communities and is loud at dawn and dusk. In domestic settings the Mogg is affectionate and clean, known to drape itself around its owner's neck as a "living feathered scarf," and can be walked on a leash though its short legs cause it to tire quickly. Wild Moggs are primarily found on Temmer (referred to as "Tem"), which has a suitable tropical climate; they can invade crops and are known to coexist cautiously with cats and ferrets, particularly defending their young.
Dogs are absent from the Taygeta system. Swaruu explained that dogs are a human creation, bred from wild canine species exclusive to Earth, and cannot be imported to other planets because their invasive predatory capability would exterminate native species with no natural defenses against them.
Per-planet fauna
Swaruu described distinct ecological characters for each of the four inhabited Taygetan planets:
- Erra — woodland and mountainous terrain supporting a variety of forest creatures; Swaruu described Erra and Temmer as "very peaceful planets, even with or among their wildlife." Cetacean beings including whales and dolphins are found in the oceans of Temmer.
- Temmer — tropical environment; primary habitat of the Mogg; abundant bird life.
- Procyon — described as a dense jungle planet with gravity slightly above 1G; the most dangerous of the four worlds, where no one survives alone at night. The dominant conflict there is described as between large cat species and "gulls" — bear-like creatures characterized as "doomsday, angry bear-like" animals.
- Dakota — the outermost and coldest planet; ice and tundra terrain; inhabited by heavy-furred mammals including woolly cow-like creatures and mammoths.
Species present and absent
Swaruu listed several categories of animals shared between the Taygeta system and Earth: small and large cats (including lions, tigers, leopards, and panthers), rabbits of various sizes, and a limited number of deadly reptiles — but notably fewer reptile species overall than on Earth. Among species found on Taygeta but not on Earth, Swaruu cited flying lizards that glow in the dark, pig-like creatures with hair the size of a cow, and approximately a hundred times more species of birds than exist on Earth. Earth animals absent from Taygeta include horses (only a smaller wild equivalent exists), rhinoceros, crocodiles, and giraffes, as well as dogs. Taygetan peoples do not ride animals.
Consciousness and predation
Swaruu discussed predator–prey dynamics across the Taygeta system in metaphysical terms, characterizing carnivorous predation as characteristic of lower levels of consciousness development. All advanced interstellar races in the Galactic Federation of Worlds are described as vegan; only regressive species remain carnivorous. Elena Danaan, in a Pleiadian-focused interview, independently confirmed this when asked directly whether the higher-frequency Pleiadian races are vegetarian: "Yeah, vegetarian or vegan." Swaruu cited the Alpha Drakos as an example of a species that has adopted veganism despite retaining sharp teeth from its carnivorous evolutionary heritage.
Wildlife and infrastructure
Taygetan civilization is described as designed to minimize disruption to native wildlife. In an earlier interview on Taygetan daily life, Swaruu explained that towns are deliberately sited to have "a minimum impact on nature," and that the maglev rail system connecting settlements is elevated from the ground "not to disrupt wildlife," with sensor arrays and a forward dispersion system "to frighten off wildlife when the train is approaching, to minimize accidents." Swaruu also described Dakota (Dak) as "a P-class, cold. Arctic tundra all over, yet full of life and inhabited" — consistent with the heavy-furred megafauna described in the animals-specific interview, including woolly mammoths and cow-like creatures.
