Nommo

The Nommo are an alleged non-human amphibian species, originally indigenous to Nyan, a planet of the Sirius B ("Thula") system, who were driven out by the Orion Alliance and migrated to the third star of the Ashkeru system — the dark dwarf Emerya — where they terraformed a world they named Xylanthia. Androgynous due to the combined influence of two nearby stars on all life on Xylanthia, the Nommo thrive in an aquatic environment — their world is mainly covered by oceans with no night, constantly bathed in the light of three stars.

Contact with Earth

The Nommo made contact with several ancient Earth civilizations approximately 5,000 years ago, including Sumer, Babylon, Acadia, Egypt, and the Dogon people of West Africa, before withdrawing when pursued by the Alpha Draconian Empire. The Dogon people of Mali retain an oral astronomical tradition that includes knowledge of the binary nature of Sirius and the existence of a dense companion star — Sirius B — not visible to the naked eye and not reported by Western science until 1862. Anthropologists Marcel Griaule and Germaine Dieterlen documented this knowledge in the 1930s–1940s, recording that the Dogon attributed it to amphibious beings called the Nommo who descended from the sky in a vessel accompanied by wind and fire. Patricia Cori, author of The Sirian Revelations series, corroborates this account through her own Sirian contact material, citing the Dogon as custodians of genuine astronomical intelligence transmitted by amphibious beings from the Sirius system — including knowledge of the dwarf companion Sirius B predating Western confirmation.

The connection between cetaceans and the Sirius system is related to the Nommo narrative in some accounts: Randy Cramer and Emery Smith discuss on Cosmic Disclosure that certain whale and porpoise species on Earth originate from Sirius B — consistent with the Dogon tradition of amphibious/aquatic Sirian visitors — and suggests that cetacean arrivals on Earth occurred over an extended period rather than as a single contact event.

Physiology

The Nommo are amphibious, comfortable both in water and on land, and are described in Elena Danaan's contact material as androgynous in consequence of the dual-star stellar environment of Xylanthia. Their aquatic adaptation reflects the primarily oceanic nature of their terraformed world.

Civilization and galactic role

Danaan's Encyclopedia Galactica Volume I expands on the Nommo's civilizational structure: they live in elaborately designed underwater cities, maintain a fleet capable of traveling the galaxy, are a peaceful culture, and are members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds. Of particular note is the Encyclopedia's report that the Nommo have a physical presence on Earth through the GFW's underwater bases beneath Earth's oceans — consistent with their aquatic biology and with the Dogon oral tradition of amphibious star-visitors arriving and departing via water.
