Tau Ceti

Tau Ceti is a G-type star approximately 11.9 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cetus — physically similar to the Sun, one of the closest solar analogues — and in exopolitics and contactee testimony the home of two documented non-human intelligent civilizations: the humanoid Aramani and the Grey-lineage Emerther, both long-standing members of the Galactic Federation of Worlds.

Physical system

Tau Ceti has approximately 0.78 solar masses and is known to host at least five candidate planets, including two (Tau Ceti e and f) in or near the habitable zone. Per Danaan it is a double star system — a yellow dwarf with a mini red dwarf companion — with five planets, two of which are inhabited. The Tau Ceti system is called Norca by its inhabitants.

Civilizations

Aramani (Planet Araman)

The Aramani inhabit Araman, one of the two inhabited planets of the Tau Ceti system. Their very name reveals their Lyran origin: in the ancient Lyran common root language, "Ara-mani" means "the exiled men" — aru (plural ara) meaning exiled, and man (plural mani) meaning humanoid. They are genetically descended from the Taal race of Lyra — a mixed group of humanoids who fled Alpha Draconian Empire attacks on their homeworld. The Aramani are tan-skinned, approximately 5.5 feet tall, with slightly pointed ears, dark hair, and strong muscular density. They developed a civilization whose foundational principles are justice, and are not expansionist — their interest in Terra is limited to scientific curiosity and their duty as GFW members. Allied with the Pleiadians and other victims of the Alpha Draconian Empire, they collaborate on common defense against the Reptilian Collective. GFW work they participate in includes raising Terran awareness of societal subversion, monitoring extraterrestrial infiltration, deprogramming mind control, rescuing abductees, and removing implants. Their ships are discoidal with a very pristine shape. From Tau Ceti, the Aramani also established a colony in the Epsilon Eridani system on a planet they named Herea, whose inhabitants are called Hereans. Per Danaan, the original humanoids of Tau Ceti are brown-skinned with black hair, alongside Ahel and Noor colonies, all GFW members.

Emerther (Tau Ceti e)

The Emerther inhabit Tau Ceti e, described as a large planet with three moons — a wonderful place of peace, civilization, spirituality, and knowledge. Part of the Council of Five (Council of Alnilam), this very old race is distantly related to the Solipsi Rai. The Emerther are single-gender and reproduce by cloning — the product of engineered evolution. They stand approximately one meter tall, with pale grey skin, a large head, round shoulders, long thin arms, and three fingers; their knees are positioned higher than the human norm. What distinguishes the Emerther from all other Grey races is a prominent little nose — they are the only known Grey species with this feature. They have large, wide blue eyes, typically concealed behind protective black lenses when off their world. Their nervous system is based on electrical impulses. Calm and highly advanced, Danaan describes them as "a very pleasant people to meet." Their ships were the first to give rise to the term "flying saucers" in Terran popular culture. In 1954, the Emerther came on behalf of the Council of Five to warn Earth governments against the Do-Hu and the Alpha Draconian Empire, though they were not listened to.

Danaan describes encountering Emerther alongside Ginvo from Procyon on Thor Han's orbital station, characterizing them as "tall pale beings from Tau-Ceti with Gray genetics but human looking, they are quite beautiful and elegant. Ancient wise beings... in the presence of the Emerthers, you feel safe." The Emerther are also identified as one of the five species that made official contact with U.S. President Eisenhower at Muroc in 1954, arriving in five Federation ships alongside Ummites, Ahel, and Selosi — chosen partly for their non-threatening appearance relative to more obviously alien species.

In EG Vol I, Danaan notes that among Grey species, the Emerther are exceptional — described as "Tau Ceti Emerther (tall Grays with a human face)" — and that no other benevolent Grey has made active contact with Earth, as other Grey cultures chose not to interact with Terra to avoid confusion during the period of Nebu activity.

Tau Ceti among Nordic-type species

In a discussion of the diversity of Nordic-type extraterrestrials, Elena Danaan distinguished the Tau Cetians from other human-looking species by a specific physical trait, noting: "You have the Tau Cetians and these ones have reddish, more red hair. You have a different type of Nordics." She placed the Tau Cetians among the species with benevolent agendas toward Earth, alongside the Alpha Centaurians and Taygetan Pleiadians, and in contrast to the Alcyone tall blondes who had collaborated with the Dark Fleet and Fourth Reich in Antarctica.

Tau Ceti in contactee traditions

Clifford Stone, a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant who claimed insider knowledge of crash retrieval programs, described Tau Cetians as a Federation species observed at crash retrieval sites. Alex Collier's Andromedan contacts described Tau Ceti as a Federation world whose people have been in contact with Earth governments since at least the 1950s.

Emerther and the Council of Five

In Elena Danaan's Galactic Contact Series, the Emerther are named as one of five surviving cultures from the original Council of Nine from Orion — a council that had suffered severe losses before the remaining five members — the Orela, the Egaroth, the Ginvo (from Procyon), the Redan, and the Emerther — reconstituted themselves as the Council of Five (Council of Alnilam). In a transmitted account, an Emerther representative described their ongoing mandate: "We are actually in the process of helping several cultures in Naturu. Terra is one of them. We are not under the jurisdiction of the laws of the Galactic Federation of Worlds, but we respect and live by the ethical and spiritual principles these laws are based upon, free will, balance, justice, evolution."

Tau-9 connection

The classified program Tau-9 — allegedly operating through UN-affiliated channels — takes its name partially from Tau Ceti in some research traditions, though the precise etymology of the Tau-9 designation is unconfirmed in declassified sources.

Jerry Wills: Tau Ceti contactee

Jerry Wills, a psychic healer and explorer of lost civilizations, describes himself as a child who was transported from Tau Ceti and placed with an adoptive human family as part of a covert program facilitated under an Eisenhower-era arrangement between Earth governments and extraterrestrials. Wills was discovered in an abandoned Kentucky farmhouse by U.S. military personnel who retrieved him under what he calls "Project Red Light." He describes the beings who contact him as tall and bluish-white "with big eyes," and states that a contact told him his home planet — "Laos" — is a water world orbiting Tau Ceti, in a system that has "a few stars in that cluster that had life." He saw the planet visually but recalls few details other than that "it seemed like a great place."

Wills describes a broader program under which multiple children were transported to Earth and placed with families to grow up as members of human society, so that the technologies and knowledge they would introduce would be seen as innovations originating within the civilization rather than as imports from outside — avoiding the resistance that direct extraterrestrial intervention would have generated.

Tau Ceti in the 1992 Gray interrogation video

The Tau Ceti system is also implicated in a 1992 classified interrogation video investigated by researcher John Stewart. The being shown in the footage — a Grey-type entity with round (not almond-shaped) eyes standing approximately four feet five to four feet eight inches tall — was identified as originating from Tau Ceti: "you are looking at an interview of a biological extra cloned biological extraterrestrial being, a type of gray or as they refer to it casually in the program 'the other gray.' This one has round eyes. It does not have the almond shaped eyes. It stands around four foot eight, two foot to four foot five in height. It allegedly came from the Tau Ceti star system." The interview was conducted on April 22, 1991, per the leaked Defense Intelligence Agency report — though Stewart's 2025 narration instead gave 1992 — on behalf of the Department of Naval Intelligence. If authentic, this footage would represent physical corroboration of a Grey-lineage species associated with Tau Ceti — consistent with Elena Danaan's identification of the Emerther as a Grey species with distinguishing humanoid features inhabiting Tau Ceti e.
