Veil of forgetting
The veil of forgetting — also called the veil of illusion or simply the veil — is the suppression of inter-life memory, past-life recall, and higher-dimensional awareness that human souls are described as undergoing upon incarnation into a physical body on Terra. In testimony from multiple secret space program witnesses and contactees, the veil is not merely a natural feature of physical embodiment but a maintained technological and psychic system engineered or amplified by negative extraterrestrial factions to keep humanity in a low-frequency, controllable state — preventing access to the species' true galactic heritage, soul mission, and dormant genetic potential.
The veil as a manufactured system
The veil is described in explicitly technological terms — as a set of devices deliberately installed and maintained: "We dismantled and disabled devices that generated and maintained the veils of this illusion. You used to call it the Matrix... Since we won back your Moon, the Nebu devices were deactivated. The veil is deactivated, but you still stick to your habits of believing in the illusion." The deactivation is dated to the Galactic Federation of Worlds' recapture of the Moon from Nebu control — an event described in Danaan's contacts as part of the broader liberation operation of 2021.
The veil's function, from the perspective of those who maintain it, is to suppress humanity's awareness of its true origins: "That is why we have been enslaved in a lower frequency by those who fear us. In this lower level of consciousness, we are not able to remember who we truly are and where we are coming from." The strategic logic is that the enemy knows about "the potential of Terran human souls" and that the only means of subjugating such a powerful species was "the strategic use of deception, substituting their artificial structures for those existing already" — keeping the population in oblivion rather than attempting direct conquest of an awakened people.
Soul trap and reincarnation cycle
A related but distinct concept is the soul trap — the claim that the between-lives reincarnation process on Earth has been interfered with to prevent souls from escaping the planetary cycle and returning to their star-family origins. Corey Goode reports that this question was raised during a sphere beings briefing, where it was asked whether "a soul trap is set up for us after we die" — referencing the idea that going toward the white light at physical death re-ensnares the soul in the Earth reincarnation loop. The Blue Avian Tear-Eir responded that "the only traps we encounter in life and after are the ones we have set for ourselves," characterizing the soul-trap belief itself as a PSYOP "distortion set in place that we can then create with the creative force of our consciousness."
Breaking the veil
Both the Galactic Federation of Worlds and contactee traditions describe reactivating dormant DNA strands as the primary mechanism by which individual humans can break through the veil. Reactivating dormant DNA strands is tied directly to piercing the veil: "When we begin to switch on dormant strands of DNA and perceive higher harmonic Universes, we will begin to remember our greatness and divine potential." The practical mechanism involves disconnecting from the artificial consciousness field: "You need to cut yourself off from the artificial field of consciousness fed by the dark ones... you realize that you are made of a higher vibration. You will then find peace."
