Ummit

The Ummit (also Ummites) are an alleged non-human humanoid species from planet Ummo. A Gift from the Stars (sourced from Thor Han Eredyon) places Ummo in the Wolf-424 system, 14.6 light years from Earth, while The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac (sourced from Antonio Ribera / Wendelle Stevens / the Ummo letters case, March 1950) identifies it as near the Sagitta constellation. They have ancestry ties to the Lyran Ahel and Noor races, as well as the Vegan humanoids. Distinguished by a notably high forehead and eyes of the same facial proportion as Terran humans (unlike most Man races), they are mainly blond, Nordic-appearing and indistinguishable from Earth humans at a distance, with male and female heights ranging between eight and nine feet, a heightened sense of smell, and a primarily nocturnal nature. Their life expectancy is about 200 years.

Scientific mission on Earth

According to A Gift from the Stars (sourced from Thor Han Eredyon), the Ummit work actively with the Galactic Federation of Worlds on a program assisting the development of Earth's sciences. Respecting the rules of non-intervention in the development of a level I civilization (level II being interstellar travel), they work around it by contacting civilians — often technically competent professionals — with detailed technical information on technologies and theories, spreading new ideas through the population to influence scientific development without forcibly disrupting Earth's natural growth trajectory. Their broader mandate extends to sharing information that transforms scientific culture and global education: the Ummit assist in developing "global solutions to new scientific paradigms and development of environmentally friendly technologies." A summary of GFW member responsibilities describes the Ummit role as "developing alternative technologies and enticing educational reform."

Campobasso (sourced from Antonio Ribera / Wendelle Stevens / the Ummo letters case) dates the Ummit arrival on Earth to March 1950, when "Ummite explorers came to Earth to learn about our cultures" and subsequently "disseminated scientific information about our universe to selected individuals through letters, including leading scientists." This date is consistent with the broader Ummo-letters tradition but antedates the 1966 date usually cited for the start of the letter campaign.

In 1973, an Ummit message was transmitted via a Terran contactee warning of humanity's self-destructive trajectory. Their ships are discoidal.

Ummo itself is described as "a one continent world with many large lakes."

Governance and society

Ummit society is governed by four elected leaders and operates without a monetary system. The Ummit are telepathic empaths.

Propulsion technology

Ummit faster-than-light travel employs inverted dark matter corridors: they "invert the dark matter universe(s) to exist in our space time and travel through those corridors across the universe, cutting travel time to a minimum." Their ships are discoidal.

Ummo letters

The Ummit correspondence program — known as the Ummo letters — is independently documented by researchers outside the Danaan framework. Come Carpentier (interviewee: Come Carpentier), a French-born exopolitics researcher, describes how thousands of "highly technical" letters were received by people in several European countries and South America over a period of more than 20 years, containing information on "physics, chemistry, biology, cosmology, and philosophy of life" of the Ummite civilization. According to Carpentier, some of the scientific information in the letters "was found to be accurate several decades later" when cross-checked against later breakthroughs in relevant fields, lending credibility to the source. The Ummites' goal, Carpentier states, "seems to be to advance of mankind and to turn us away from dangerous inventions and from very self destructive activities" — a mission consistent with the GFW's mandate for Ummit scientific outreach to Earth.

Ancestry and genetics

The Ummit's triple ancestry — Ahel, Noor, and Vegan humanoid — marks them as a mixed Lyran lineage that incorporated Vegan genetics at some point in their distant past. The Ahel are fair-skinned blond Lyrans noted for their tall build; the Noor are another distinct Lyran sub-race. Vegan humanoids derive from the Vega system, which was itself seeded by the Intergalactic Confederation ("the Seeders"). The Ummit's predominantly blond coloration connects them visually to the Ahel line, while their smaller and more Terran-proportioned eyes may reflect the Vegan genetic contribution.

Their high forehead is explicitly cited as the trait that distinguishes them from other Man races — a cranial proportional difference that suggests neurological capacity or developmental divergence, though this is not elaborated upon in available records. It is the most reliable visual identifier of an Ummit in a galactic context where many humanoid species can appear similar to Terrans.

Wolf-424 is a binary red dwarf system located 14.6 light-years from Earth — placing the Ummit among the closer stellar neighbours of Sol, described as "very near, and very involved assisting you." Their proximity makes their long-term scientific engagement with Terra logistically practical: unlike civilizations hundreds or thousands of light-years distant, the Ummit can maintain sustained and repeated contact with relative ease.

The 1973 transmission

The most extensively documented Ummit communication with Terra occurred in 1973, when a message was relayed through a Terran contactee. The text revealed that the Ummit had been studying Earth's science, culture, history, and civilizations for the preceding thirty years — and that this data had been carried back to Ummo stored in "titanium crystals codified with data." The reference to titanium crystal data storage provides a rare glimpse into Ummit technology: a crystalline medium capable of encoding large volumes of information in a format suitable for interstellar transport.

The message was a warning. The Ummit noted that they had demonstrated their culture and technology "in purely descriptive form — so you cannot convert them or realize them practically," a deliberate constraint reflecting their respect for the Prime Directive. They expressed deep sorrow at humanity's self-destructive use of science for warfare, describing Terrans as "children playing with terrible and dangerous toys." They stated that "a cosmic law says that each world must take its own path, to survive or to perish," and that humanity appeared to have chosen the latter: "You are destroying our planet — annihilating your species, and contaminating your atmosphere and your seas until now this is irreversible."

The message characterized humanity's psyche as "completely unpredictable and capricious bordering on paranoia," preventing the Ummit from projecting Earth's future with any confidence. It concluded with an appeal: "As your elder brothers in this cosmos, we urgently desire with all our hearts your salvation. Do not destroy your beautiful blue planet, a rare atmospheric world that floats so majestically in space, so full of life." This framing — Earth as rare and precious, its destruction as preventable only by Terran choice — is consistent with the GFW's broader stance on the Prime Directive: they provide warnings and knowledge but cannot impose outcomes on a civilization still at Stage 1.

Collaboration with the Ormong

According to the Encyclopedia Galactica Volume I (sourced from Thor Han Eredyon via the GFW Excelsior database), the Ummit cooperate with the Ormong — a human race from the galaxy NGC 7252 in the Aquarius constellation and members of the Intergalactic Confederation — in scientific exchange programs with Earthlings, conducted under the auspices of the Galactic Federation of Worlds. The Ormong maintain a ground outpost in South America through which these joint exchanges are coordinated. This partnership between a Nataru species (the Ummit) and an intergalactic species (the Ormong) for the specific purpose of advancing Terran science represents one of the more structured and multi-party scientific assistance programs documented in galactic records.

Infiltration of Terran scientific institutions

As part of the GFW's assistance programs, human-looking Ummit agents are among the extraterrestrial personnel directly embedded in Terran scientific and technological institutions. In a 2021 interview (interviewee: Elena Danaan), Danaan described the program: "They are human-looking extraterrestrials. They have a high forehead. And they're mainly blonde, they are very wise and they are very good in technology and sciences. And they are those who are often sent to advise technicians and scientists." This infiltration program — alongside Omegan operatives and human personnel from the secret space program already enrolled in the Federation — focuses particularly on assisting U.S. scientific development in a direction that the GFW considers beneficial.

GFW Excelsior officer corps

The Ummit hold positions in the senior command structure of the GFW flagship Excelsior, the mothership currently in orbit of Terra. One of the six high command officers serving under Admiral Ardaana of Erra is Shehen Lyn, an Ummit officer. Ummit personnel aboard the station are visually identifiable by their GFW uniforms — described as glistening white, silver to golden like "liquid sunshine" — and their characteristically higher and larger forehead, the most reliable visual marker distinguishing them from other Nordic-type humanoids in a multispecies environment.

Approach to the Prime Directive

The Ummit's strategy for navigating the Prime Directive's non-intervention constraint is notable for its sophistication. Rather than directly transferring technology to governments or institutions — which would constitute the kind of intervention the Prime Directive prohibits — the Ummit seed ideas through civilian contacts who then develop and publish those ideas through normal scientific and cultural channels. The new scientific paradigms thus appear to emerge organically from within Terran civilization, even as they are guided by Ummit input. This approach preserves the appearance of self-determination while accelerating scientific development along directions the Ummit consider beneficial — particularly environmentally friendly technologies, which align with their own assessment (expressed in the 1973 message) of what Terra most urgently needs.

Operational participation in the Eban capture

Ummit personnel participated directly in the Galactic Federation of Worlds' capture of nine high-ranking Eban officers in late 2021. Michael Salla, summarizing intelligence from Elena Danaan, reported that "some Ummites and other beings from different races" were present in the examination room aboard a GFW vessel alongside high command officers during the processing of the captured Tall Gray leaders, who had been fleeing Dulce Base through a portal near Saturn. The Ummit presence at a security-level operation of this magnitude — targeting the leadership of the Nebu hive that had held the 1955 Majestic 12 agreements — underscores their role within the GFW as more than scientific advisors.
