T2 catastrophe
The T2 catastrophe (also known as the galactic pole-shift catastrophe or Timeline 2 catastrophe) is an alleged future human extinction-level event postulated within the Doctrine of Convergent Timeline Paradox (DCTP), in which Earth's passage through the galactic plane — amplified by operating artificial stargate devices — kills approximately two-thirds of the human population, causing the bifurcation of humanity into the P-45 J-Rod and P-52 Orion Nordic lineages. The event is situated in "Timeline 2" by Dan Burisch, whose account of it was transmitted to the present era by P-52 J-Rod and P-52 Orion Nordic time-travelers whose mission was to warn humanity to decommission artificial Looking Glass and Stargate technology before the corresponding danger window in the early twenty-first century, thereby preventing the catastrophe from occurring on "Timeline 1."
Description
Proposed mechanism
The catastrophe occurred during a period when Earth's solar system passes through the galactic plane (the galactic ecliptic), exposing Earth to substantially elevated energy output from the galactic core — an event said to occur on a roughly 25,000-year cycle. Sources in the Burisch/Camelot corpus describe this transition as producing effects on the ecosphere and Earth's crust "not experienced on the Earth for over 25,000 years," including increased solar activity and disruption of Earth's electromagnetic poles, analogous to a larger external magnetic field overriding a weaker one.
A second causal layer is the use of artificial Einstein-Rosen Bridge promoters (ERBs) — specifically the Looking Glass devices and Stargate equipment — during the danger window, said to dramatically amplify the natural destabilization. The J-Rods concluded, after the catastrophe in their own history, that it was "almost certainly the amplifying effect of the artificial Stargate and Looking Glass devices" — as distinct from natural stargates, which are not considered dangerous — that precipitated the full-scale cataclysm. The critical precondition was ensuring "there are no human-created ERB machines" operating during the danger window.
Aftermath in Timeline 2
In the J-Rod history (Timeline 2), the catastrophe killed approximately two-thirds of the human population. Survivors divided along lines that had been socially organized in advance: those who retreated into underground survival facilities — predominantly elite factions with foreknowledge — became the ancestors of the P-45 J-Rods, while those who survived on the surface, more spiritually oriented, eventually became the P-52 Orion Nordics who departed Earth entirely. The P-45 J-Rods, having spent tens of thousands of years underground and undergoing deliberate biological adaptation, developed the J-Rod peripheral neuropathy and associated physiological changes; the P-52 J-Rods are a further 7,000 years along the same trajectory.
Some factions within Majestic 12 were aware of and anticipating the catastrophe as a mechanism for eliminating the general population and securing survival for an elite group with access to underground facilities.
Danger window and avoidance
The danger window was placed at approximately 2005 to 2017, with decommissioning of Looking Glass and Stargate devices a necessary precondition for avoiding the catastrophe. The Looking Glass device assessments showed the potential scale of the Timeline 2 catastrophe would involve "a predicted four-and a half, or four billion peoples' deaths." The final probability calculations showed a 19% chance the catastrophic timeline would manifest, with 85% confidence in that assessment — equivalently, an 81% probability that the catastrophe would be successfully averted.
In December 2007 Burisch announced, via his blog, that humanity had successfully transitioned off Timeline 2 and was "now on Variant 83 of Timeline 1" — a trajectory in which the catastrophe does not occur. The decommissioning of Looking Glass and Stargate components — split among the European Union, United Nations, and NATO so that no single party held a complete set — was the mechanism by which this was achieved.
Relation to Tau-9
The Tau-9 Conference (2003–04) was, in part, a treaty negotiation aimed at formalizing the decommissioning and removing the Lotus project from the P-45 J-Rods' cooperation terms. Burisch used the Yellow Cube during the Tau-9 negotiations to show delegates probable futures — including imagery of delegates "standing on the bones of their own families" — which persuaded delegates to remove Lotus from the treaty agenda.
